Your 3-day journey from Marrakech to the Sahara Desert provides a comprehensive experience, combining cultural exploration, natural wonders, and the unique landscapes of the desert. Here is a breakdown of your itinerary.

Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech - High Atlas - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - Dades Valley

1. Departure from Marrakech:

Pick up from your accommodation in Marrakech at 8 AM.


2. High Atlas Mountains:

Drive through the High Atlas Mountains with stops for panoramic views and photo opportunities of Berber villages.

3. Ait Ben Haddou:

Explore the UNESCO-listed ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, known for its historic kasbah and its role as a filming location for various movies.


4. Ouarzazate:

Visit Ouarzazate, known as the "gate of the desert," and explore the Taourirt Kasbah.


5. Rose Valley:

Drive through the Rose Valley, passing the Skoura palm grove and observing numerous kasbahs. Learn about the cultivation of damascene roses for cosmetic use.

6. Dades Valley:

Reach the Dades Valley and spend the night.

Day 2: Dades Valley - Todra Gorges - Merzouga - Camel Trek and Overnight in Berber Camp

1. Dades Valley Exploration:

  • Enjoy breakfast and take in the beautiful views of the Dades Valley.


2. Todra Gorges:

  • Journey to the Todra Gorges, marvel at the spectacular scenery, and take a short walk in the area.

3. Drive to Merzouga:

  • Continue to the desert, specifically to the stunning dunes of Merzouga.


4. Camel Trek and Berber Camp:

  • Take a one-hour camel ride to a nomad camp in the middle of the dunes (Erg Chebbi).

  • Witness the sunset from the top of a dune.

  • Spend the night in a tent under the starry sky.


5. Rose Valley:

Day 3: Merzouga Dunes - Draa Valley - Anti Atlas Mountains - Ouarzazate - Marrakech

2. Return to Merzouga:

  • Return to Merzouga on camels.

  • Enjoy a delicious breakfast.

3. Drive to Draa Valley:

  • Journey through the arid pre-desertic area, encountering the typical acacia trees.


4. Draa Valley Exploration:

  • Travel through the Anti-Atlas Mountains.


5. Ouarzazate and Return to Marrakech:

  • Free time for lunch in Ouarzazate.

  • Continue the journey back to Marrakech, reaching the city around 8 PM.

  • Transfer to the hotel, marking the end of the services.
