My Story

Welcome to my travel website! I'm Rachid Jellah, and it's my pleasure to share with you the captivating journey of my life, deeply rooted in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco. Born into the proud Amazigh culture, my family's legacy in these mountains spans over 150 years, tracing back to ancient civilizations.

The seeds of tourism in our region were planted in the 1970s by my grandfather, who warmly welcomed international guests and accompanied them on explorations across the diverse landscapes of the High Atlas Mountains. This burgeoning interest in our region's natural beauty and rich cultures marked the beginning of a significant transformation in Moroccan tourism.

In the 1980s, the allure of Mount Toubkal, standing majestically at 4,167 meters as one of the world's highest peaks, began to draw adventurers. The treks to its summit played a pivotal role in the development of tourism here. Growing up, I was deeply influenced by my grandfather's passion for hospitality and the beauty of our land. My fascination with different cultures, languages, and natural landscapes naturally steered me towards a career in tourism from a young age. Meeting visitors from France, Germany, Switzerland, America, and beyond ignited my aspirations and set me on a path of discovery and goal-setting.

Seeking to broaden my horizons, I left the mountains for Marrakech to pursue a baccalaureate degree—a critical milestone in my journey to become a professional tour guide. Despite facing cultural adjustments and financial challenges in the city, my unwavering determination fueled my ambition to transform the challenges of mountain life into opportunities.

Proudly Amazigh, I cherish my family's heritage and our connection to this land. After earning my degree, I gained invaluable experience working with various travel agencies. In 2018, driven by my passion and innovative ideas, I embarked on a personal venture to organize unique tours across Morocco. This journey has been enriched by the support of many who believed in my vision.

As a passionate tour guide, I am committed to making every tourist's experience in Morocco enriching and memorable. The COVID-19 pandemic has been a profound reminder to cherish life's simple joys—family, health, faith, and the resilience of the human spirit. As we move forward, I am eager to continue sharing the beauty of Morocco, its culture, and its history.
